For cross-country skiers, the Fischlein Valley is an absolute must! The landscape appears to be almost magical on this trail, which is groomed for both the skating and classical styles. For very fit skiers, the Puster Valley Marathon trail comes highly recommended, which runs from Sexten into the Prags Valley.
We recommend that families visit the reindeer in the Rotwand ski resort. No, you’re eyes aren’t deceiving you: there really are reindeer in Sexten! A sled ride with the reindeer is especially for children and always a great holiday experience that they won’t forget in a hurry.
In addition, the Rotwand ski resort has easy descents and a black run, known as the “Holzriese”. Only expert skiers should attempt to ski the latter.
The toboggan run from the Rotwand mountain station to Bad Moos is 5.5 km long. And once a week, on a Thursday, the track is illuminated. Naturally the gondola also stays open during the evening then.
